Bjorn

I have always identified as a European first and British/English second. Although British born and bred, the sense of who I am is interwoven with my German roots on both sides of my family.

The European Union is not without faults and needs reform to improve democratic accountability and transparency but the idea that we are better off by separating ourselves and forging ahead alone is a profound mistake. Leaving the EU makes us all poorer in Tunbridge Wells. We have very close links to the London economy where many jobs depend on access to the Single Market. In addition the important contribution that the estimated 4000 - 5000 EU citizens make to our economy and the diversity of our society in Tunbridge Wells enriches the place we live.

That's why I'm backing TW-IN. To say to the Government to think again and offer the public a People's Vote on any deal to leave the European Union.
