The morning after the referendum I cried - I began to mourn the loss of the life I built for 26 years in this country and of my sense of identity. I thought we were all Europeans, just born in different geographical regions, however from that day I was given the label of European Immigrant living on English soil. The decision was taken for me and from me, a decision that has affected my life (and will affect my family's life too, together with the lives of everyone in Britain and British people in Europe) and I could not make my voice heard. I could not vote. Not even after 26 years of contributing to the English economy and volunteering for the NHS. How is this fair?
